James Lane created the topic: Edward Lane
My great x 2 grandfather Edward Lane along with his wife Mary Maria ran the White Hart Inn in Bisley in the 1850`s and after his death in 1857 his widow continued to run it with the assistance of her daughhter Jane. Mary Maria after she retired from inn keeping went to live with her eldest son William who was born in Bisley but was by then a prosperous corn miller at Oilmills, near Stroud.

Later one of Edward`s grandsons also Edward migrated to London and settled in Putney where after driving a horse bus he became a cabbie and had one of the first petrol taxis to be seen in the capital. He was also a noted athlete in the sport of race walking and I can recall his house being full of clocks, pictures, canteens of cutlery and other bric-a-brac awarded as prizes in this amateur sport.

This is a wind up.
Edward Lane was my Great x3 Grandfather I am 69 so how old are you?
Edward junior died in 1901.
Everything you say regarding his whereabouts, occupation etc. is true but you could not possibly have visited his home etc.
Why not just come clean and say who you really and what your game is as you are wasting a lot of peoples precious time.
