I am searching the family of John and his father Edward Hunt who were both from Bisley.
My GG grandfather John Hunt (Bn c 1811) was originally married to Charlotte Freeman at Edgeworth and had one child Martha whom I think died in 1846 aged 6 years. Charlotte died about 1847. Their marriage certificate of 21 March 1839 showed Edward Hunt as his father and William Freeman hers - both labourers.
John's second marriage was to Harriet Phelps in Bisley on 20 November 1848. At the time of marriage they were living at Trench Tunley. Married by Tho. Keble and witnesses were: Jacob Woolly and Charlot Hunt.

John's son James was born in Trench Bisley 17 Sept 1850 and was baptised on 25 Dec 1850 at Oakridge. He later moved to Gloucester presumably for work and our family remained there.

I can't seem to get further back than Edward whom I suspect was born about 1780. Is there anyone on this site that has any information on this side of my family?
