sorry I can only reply through this at the mo my emails are playing up.
George and Jean married Stroud 1866 6a 609 if you want to order the cert.
I can't find the daughter though there are plenty of possible family members on free bmd. The only way of being sure of their parentage is to order some of the berth certs.

I have the marriage certs and birth certs,,it was Driffcombe that was my concern,,, i have taken on board what you have said,,,but i have also found out that in the area is a house called Driffcombe Farm, at present im going to see if i can find any build plans or details of this house.

Also will look for Tithe maps if avavilable

I have stumbled acroos a book you may wish to purchase from amazon maybe, it is the cheapest place to buy it lol. It is called \"The Vernacular Architecture and Buildings of Stroud and Chalford\" by Nigel Mcullagh Patterson.
It has loads of pictures and descriptions of buildings in and around the Bisley area including an old 1831 map. You may find waht you are looking for in there possibly. Your local library may even have a copy for you to borrow. I may even purchase it myself as my family were from around that arrea to and it would be interesting to see where they lived etc
