Hi. I am researching the TYLER family from Bisley.

I am descended from Abraham Tyler b1757 and through him to the two Richards and through them to Walter Tiler b 1672. Abraham married Betty Bidmead and had numerous children, one of whom was Matthew b1785 who is my 3xgreat grandfather.

I know that Matthew and some of his children left Bisley in the late 1830s and moved to Birmingham -they are on the 1841 census living in West Bromwich.

I am interested in what happened to the children especially JAMES b 1804 and his wife Elizabeth Stephens. James's youngest child, Benjamin, was born in Birmingham in 1844. In 1851 Benjamin and his siblings were with James's sister Elizabeth who was married to Thomas Field( my great great grandparents). I cannot find James and Elizabeth in 1851 and neither they nor their children are on the 1861 census.

If anyone knows what happened to this branch of the family I would be very pleased to hear from them or from anyone who has any info on other Tylers in this line.
