Researching family tree I have found a Henry Johnson LEWIS bn 1848 in Bisley who married a girl called 'Susan' bn 1846. His parents were a Thomas LEWIS bn1823 and Ann CLISSOLD bn 1824. Here Father was a Peter CLISSOLD bn1785. Does anyone have the same family tree and gone further back?
I have an Ann Clissold (b, ca 1791 in Bisley) m. to Samuel Neale (b. in Stroud,Gloucester. In England's 1841 census for Stroud, Painswick,Gloucester, I find them listed with a John Clissold (70 as listed age) living with them. I am assuming he is her father. Two residences later, there is a Peter Clissold (age 75 listed) with his wife's name illegible but her age listed as 75. Then next door to this Peter there is another Peter Clissold (age listed as 45), his wife, Sarah (age 45) and her mother, Sarah Allen (age listed as 70. In the 1851 census for same town, my Ann and Samuel listed again but next door is a John Clissold (age listed as 60-born in Stanley), his wife Hannah (age 60), and dau, Elizabeth (age 36). Then in the same town, Peter Clissold listed as 55 (born in Bisley) with his wife listed as only the initial \"L\". This Peter could be my Ann's brother. Do you have any info on this family line?

I have a copy of Henry Johnson Lewis's birth certificate.
It states his parents as Thomas Lewis and Ann Lewis formerly Bowyer. On his baptism entry the mother is down as Ann Elizabeth. I am descended from Henry's brother, Thomas Bowyer Lewis. I am having great difficulty piecing this family together as they are listed in the 1851 census as being descended from Peter Clissold. On the children's baptism/birth records the mother seems to alternate between Ann and Elizabeth.
